Dance Classes:
Ballroom
Smooth and Latin Ballroom –
Basic concepts of footwork and partnering are taught. This class
focuses on smooth and fast styles for beginners, such as the Tango,
Rumba, Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha & East Coast Swing. Come solo or with a partner.
Ballet

Beginning Ballet – Ages 6-8. For the ballet lovers, this hour long class is a fun way to learn the basics.
Advanced Beginning Ballet - Ages 7-10. A slightly more advanced class for those who are more serious about learning the ballet technique.
Intermediate Ballet – Ages 10-14. For serious ballet lovers, this is the most advanced ballet class and requires previous knowledge of basic ballet technique.
Ballet/Tap Combination

Intro to Dance - For ages 3 & 4. This 45 minute class is the perfect combination of ballet and tap to get the little ones moving.
Ballet/Tap Combo Level 1 – For ages 4-6. An hour long class learning the basics of ballet and tap techniques.
Ballet/Tap Combo Level 2 – For ages
6-8. An hour long class focused on a deeper understanding of the basic techniques of ballet and tap.
Bellydancing
Beginning Bellydancing – Ages 10 +. A unique class for those interested in trying something new. A great way to stay in shape while still having fun!
Cheer Team and Dance Team
Cheerleading – by audition only. The cheer team works on cheer technique and choreography, (no stunt work,) and performs multiple times per year at CSULB, UCI, Cerritos Performing Arts and more.
Dance Team - by audition only. This team is choreography only and performs at multiple venues throughout So. Cal, including Disneyland, Knotts, CSULB and more. Intermediate level students only who are enrolled in a minimum of 2 classes per week at Kick It Up.
Hip Hop
Bop n’ Hip Hop – Ages 4 & 5. An upbeat, fun-filled, energetic 30 minute class for youngsters who want to move.
Beginning Hip Hop – Ages 5-8. This active, hour long class is anything but boring. A great class for kids who need a place to use their never ending energy.
Advanced Beginning Hip Hop – Ages 7-10. It’s all about having fun in this energetic, hour long class. Perfect for kids who like to get their groove on.
Intermediate Hip Hop – Ages 9-12. A more advanced hip hop class involving timing, rhythm, and musicality.
Advanced Hip Hop - Ages 11 - 18. The most advance hip hop class we offer.
Hula
Intro to Hula – Ages 3-7. Hula is a dance form that allows a beginner to look and feel like a dancer from the earliest classes. Each dance builds upon the previous. This half hour classes is basic Hula hand and footwork for the little ones.
Beginning Hula – Ages 8-11. This hour long class teaches the basic concepts of hand and footwork.
Beginning Hula – Ages 12+. This hour long class teaches the basic concepts of hand and footwork
Intermediate Hula – Ages 12+. Hands and footwork are taught, but the learning is in the dancer’s inhabiting the story they are telling.
Jazz

Beginning and Adv.
Beginning Jazz – Ages 9 +. An upbeat, fun class with elements of ballet technique. For dancers who like to move.
Intermediate Jazz – Ages 9-12. A slightly more advanced class for those who have a basic knowledge of jazz skills.
Jazz Funk - Ages 12+. A blend of hip hop and jazz at an adv. beginning level.
Musical Theatre
Beginning
Musical Theatre - Ages 5-7. This 45 minute class
focuses on the three fundamentals of stage work... singing, dancing
and acting... while making it fun!
Beginning
Musical Theatre - Ages 8-11. This hour long class is
designed to help the student become a "triple threat", with acting,
singing and dancing. Class includes audition preparation,
improvisational theater, and exciting dance routines fit for the
Broadway Stage!
Salsa & Zumba
Beginning and Intermediate Kids Salsa – Ages 7-10. This hour long, upbeat class keeps kids on their toes with the fast-paced footwork.
Beginning Salsa – Ages 12 +. A beginning class for those interested in learning the basics of salsa rhythms and footwork.
Intermediate Salsa – Ages 12 +. A more in depth class focusing on musicality, choreography and of course, fancy footwork!
Zumba Aerobic
Dance – Ages 12 +. Join the millions of people that

Cheer
Beginning Cheer – Ages 4 & 5. A great 30 minute class

Strength Training
Balls,
Buns & Bar Workout – Be ready to work your entire body in this one-hour action paced class. Working with dumbbells, weighted body bars, resist-a-balls and more, this strength training class fires up all the muscles of the body. There is a stretch
& ab segment at the end of class.
Power, Pump &
Push Workout –
(boot camp) Be
ready for anything in this one-hour action packed class. Working with
steps, dumbbells, weighted body bars, tubing, resist-a-balls and
more, this strength and cardio interval training class fires up all
the muscles of the body and allows you to burn calories. There is a
stretch & ab segment at the end of class.
Total Body
Workout - A fast paced 60-minute total body workout using dumbbells, weighted body bars and cardio intervals . . . this class moves fast! Designed to burn calories, tone and strengthen muscles in the upper body
& lower body includes exercises for the shoulder, back, biceps, triceps, chest,
hamstrings, quads and abs/lower back. Make sure to bring a water
body and towel for this class. All levels are welcome.
Upper Cuts- A fast paced 30-minute upper body workout using dumbbells, weighted body bars and cardio intervals . . . this class moves fast! Designed to burn calories, tone and strengthen muscles in the upper body includes exercises for the shoulder, back, biceps, triceps and chest.
Lower Cuts- An intense 30-minute lower body workout using dumbbells, tubing, stretch bands and weighted body bars. Designed to fire up all the muscles of the lower body including legs, gluts and abs.
Awesome Abs- A 30-minute express fitness that blends Yoga, Pilates and Fitness into a workout. Learn to tone and firm your “abs” or “core” as well as strengthening the lower back. This class can be taken on its own or after the Upper Cuts and or Lower Cuts classes.
Cardiovascular Training
Cardio Fusion
Training - A 60-minute action packed class using low impact
aerobic moves to get your body moving. Incorporating low impact
movement, kick boxing jabs & upper cuts and more. You’ll sweat like never before. Class includes an “abs” portion at the end of the cardio segment.
Use a heart rate monitor to make sure you are in your fat burning
ranges!
Spinning™ - A 60-minute Indoor Cycling Training Class, which includes heart rate training. Heart rate monitors are provided as well as gel seats for comfort. It is highly recommended you attend an “Intro to Spinning” prior to taking a full 60-minute class. You can burn between 500 – 800 calories in one class! Bring your towel and water and be prepared to sweat.
Beg. Spinning™ - A 30-minute Indoor Cycling Training Class, which includes heart rate training. Heart rate monitors are provided as well as gel seats for comfort. It is highly recommended you attend an “Intro to Spinning” prior to taking a 30-minute class. Bring your towel and water and be prepared to have fun.
Intro to Spinning™ - A 30-minute Indoor Cycling Basic’s Class. Members will learn the components of the Spinning Bike as well as the proper biomechanics to ride the bike. 15 minutes of lecture and a 15-minute ride are part of the education process before taking the 60-minute class.
Spinning Fusion - A 90-minute format which combines 45 minutes of Spinning which is cardiovascular training with 45 minutes of strength training to burn calories and tone your body. Offered

A 30-35-minute session with a certified personal trainer to assess your
fitness level. Session includes weigh in, measure your body
composition, Body Fat %, measure your hips, thighs, arms, waist and
bust! Learn creative ideas to help you change your eating

Gentle Pilates &
Yoga - A 60-minute format combines and blends Pilates and
Yoga in a gentle way. This class is designed to help you gain better flexibility and tone for your body.
The traditional postures are modified to accommodate any injury or
disability you might have!
Zen-Abs & Stretch - A 60-minute class that blends Yoga, Pilates and Fitness together. Stretch bands and Yoga mats are provided. Candles and Zen music make this a magical class. Your body will feel a sense of strength and calmness upon completion. You don’t want to miss this one!
PIYO - A 60-minute class that blends Yoga, Pilates together. Candles and soft music make this a mind body class. Your body will feel a sense of strength and calmness upon completion. All levels are welcome to attend.
Kid Fitness (Ages 7 – 11)

Total Body Workout – A 60-minute action packed class. Kids will work with dumbbells, tubing, resist-a-balls, jump ropes, hula-hoops and more. The class has a warm up (10 minutes) a cardio segment (20 minutes) and strength segment (10 – 15 minutes) with Yoga/Stretch time at the end. All students will be tested every 6 weeks to determine their strength and flexibility as well as cardiovascular improvements!
